In 2006, my husband, 2 sons and I realized our life long dream of owning our own farm. We bought 5 acres in Woodland Washington, 20 minutes north of Vancouver Washington. It has been a labor of love! We had to re-fence the property to make it "escape proof" and we also built separate pastures. We poured concrete around the house so we had a clean area that kept the dogs close to us. In 2007 we built a beautiful barn with another separate pasture. We thought it would he a great place for the dogs, clean and dry while we are away at work. However, the dogs made it perfectly clear they prefer the house! Our barn it is still pretty to look at even though it is sitting empty!
